The SDMC is a shared resource supporting population science and clinical investigators whose research requires qualitative or quantitative methods of data collection. Originally named the Data Technologies Core, SDMC was founded in 2006, and in 2008 was incorporated into DFCI’s Strategic Plan for the McGraw/Patterson Center for Population Sciences. In 2010, the SDMC became a core within the DF/HCC, thereby expanding the availability of efficient, high-quality survey and data management consultation and services to DF/HCC members and fostering collaboration across institutions, disease, and research programs.
